Excuse Me, Can You Speak Chinese?

It is said that human beings used only one kind of language until God used his power to give people a punishment that let people who lived in different areas have to speak different languages, which resulted from the thought of touching the heaven, where God lived, of mankind. However, it is just a legend. According to the historical remains, the various tongues were made by human beings.

Roughly, about five language families exist in the world and have their branches. As a result of the interaction of wars, marriages, commercial activities and the separation of regions, which made cultural differences in each branch, it gradually turned into various dialects. Regardless of multifarious dialects, let us focus on the larger circle, that is, languages. People use their languages to talk to others. In such a way, how to communicate with people who use other languages? One of the answers is to learn. Then, which languages would people like to learn? In this competition of so many languages, the utility rates of English and Chinese have already stood out above the rest with the globalization. After the popularization of English, the ability of speaking Chinese has being emphasized as well.

DOGS

Recently, I have seen so many dogs at a sport park. Bou and I found a place where the grass spread which allows dogs to play around losing their weight, and it is true that there are some dogs with their owners.

At the first night, an amazing encounter happened at the familiar square. We saw many “Husky” and “Golden Retriever” there! It is two kinds of dogs I want to have when I have ability to. Their owners let go of them and let them play with other dogs. I could see that each dog and person seemed to be happy. Seldom dogs bark, instead, they chase and welter. The view of this moment is just like a picture.

Loving in play with dogs as us, we naturally actively tried to touch dogs when they came next to us. The one who impressed me most is “Man-Toa”, a Golden Retriever, whose pose when lying is so cute and is well-behaved than each dog on the spot.

What’s more, we even saw a dog with a circle of fluffy mane is so like a “LION”, in other words, it is just said to be mini lion and it must be our biggest discovery these days.

Fake spring vacation

What a good news that we are going to have a 4-day-vacation! It sounds kind of funny, because we only have FOUR days for our spring vacation. Strictly, these holidays cannot be considered a spring vacation if they are formed by Tomb Sweeping Festival and the weekend, and that makes us should make up for classes next Saturday.

It is genuine that students in CGU who pay least money have most lessons, and I gradually learned why that some people considered CGU a high school is.

Da-Fun Cup!

It has been about a week since we came back to Taipei victorious. Why is that I talk about this stuff so late? That is because I am too lazy to put something on my blog.

Let us come back to the topic. We have news here, a bad one and a good one. The good news is that we took the second place of table tennis! If you were watching on the spot, too, you would know how amazing the skills they performed are. In the other hand, the bad one is that some of us had their wallets, cell phones, even ID cards stolen, and I was involved. How this thing could happen! I just could not find any words to describe my feeling when I learned this terrible incident. However, taking apart in the contest with other colleges gave me a racing experience, and I am sure that I have learned some in those two days. The only fly in the ointment was the stealing.
